National guidelines from the Society of Breast Imaging recommends getting a breast exam every year starting at 40 years old. If you have a higher risk for cancer, then our practitioner may recommend a different schedule depending on your health history.

If you are experiencing breast lumps or unexplained changes, you may need a mammogram or a breast ultrasound sooner than the recommended time frame.
